President's Letter

Paul Golay
12/29/2011
December was a very active
month for the club with the Holiday Home Tour, the
Salvation Army Red Kettle, our Club party and the work
with our wounded warrior. The Holiday Home Tour
was a great success even though the weather did not
cooperate on the tour days. We had a great turnout
and our club members and friends worked hard and filled
the docent positions. A great Big thank you to all
our members that worked to make it a success. If a
friend of yours worked with you as a docent let them
know how great full we are to them for their help as we
could not do this without them.
The Salvation Army Red
Kettle drive was a success because our members, friends,
Sun City clubs and Sun City residents supported it.
Thank you to all who gave of their holiday time to ring
the bell. We will never know how many needy people
benefit from our dedication. We will be provided with a
report on the funds raised soon.
Kim and her committee put
on an excellent holiday party and we thank you for all
the work they put i nto it. The support our club
gave to the Wounded Warrior family was beyond
imagination. This family is very deserving and
dedicated to the freedom of all Americans. They
have sacrificed to preserve our freedom and have paid a
very high price so we can be free. Thank you Kim and all
your committee for the extra effort, also a thank you to
Bill and the other members of your family that were
involved in this project. Photo - Paul (blue
shirt) and Kim (red jacket) with the Wounded Warrion
family.
Several members of our
club will be departing on the fund raiser cruise on
January 15 and will return on January 22. We will
miss the meeting on January 17 which will be an
excellent program presented by the Texas Water
Development Board. This is a topic of interest to
our neighbors and I hope you will contact your friends
and invite them to this meeting
The club has experienced a
great 2011 and I know we have much to do to complete the
projects we have began. I hope each member will
find their place and promote the work with the Children
in the coming year.
Happy New Year and may
2012 be a great year for all.
